भीष्मस्य शरशय्या-प्राप्तिः

Bhīṣma’s Fall to the Arrow-Bed

(अभिमन्युं तथा5<यान्तं भीष्मस्याभ्युद्यतं वधे ।) काम्बोजराजो बलवान्‌ वारयामास संयुगे,इसी प्रकार भीष्मका वध करनेके लिये उद्यत होकर आते हुए अर्जुनकुमार अभिमन्युको बलवान काम्बोजराजने युद्धके मैदानमें आगे बढ़नेसे रोक दिया

Transliteration

abhimanyum tathā yāntaṃ bhīṣmasyābhyudyataṃ vadhe | kāmbojarājo balavān vārayāmāsa saṃyuge ||

Translation

Sañjaya said: As Abhimanyu, Arjuna’s son, advanced in the battle—resolved to strike down Bhīṣma—the mighty king of Kāmboja checked him on the field.
