Vaiśaṃpāyana said: O Bhārata, the foremost of Brāhmaṇas, then inflamed with anger and wounded pride, remained undistracted and kept digging for thirty days and more. The passage underscores how intense emotions can drive relentless effort—yet it also hints at the ethical tension between steadfast resolve and being ruled by wrath.
