Vyāsa’s Boon-Offer and Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Remorse in the Forest Assembly

naiṣa mṛtyur aniṣṭo no niḥsṛtānāṃ gṛhāt svayam | jalam agnis tathā vāyur athavāpi vikarṣaṇam ||

Nārada said: “For us who have of our own accord gone forth from the household life, this kind of death is not to be regarded as undesirable. Whether it comes through water, through fire, through wind, or even by being dragged away—none of these ends is blameworthy for those who have renounced and are steadfast in their chosen path.”
