इत्युक्त: स महेन्द्रेण तपस्वी कोपनो भूशम् । जग्राह पुष्करं धीमान् प्रसन्नश्चाभवन्मुनि:,महेन्द्रके ऐसा कहनेपर वे क्रोधी तपस्वी बुद्धिमान् अगस्त्य मुनि बड़े प्रसन्न हुए और उन्होंने इन्द्रके हाथसे अपने कमल ले लिये
Transliteration
ity uktaḥ sa mahendreṇa tapasvī kopano bhūśam | jagrāha puṣkaraṃ dhīmān prasannaś cābhavan muniḥ ||
Translation
Thus addressed by Mahendra (Indra), the austere sage—though fierce in temper—became greatly pleased. The wise muni Agastya accepted the lotus (Puṣkara) from Indra’s hand, his anger subsiding into gracious satisfaction.
