Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) | पुष्कर-शपथ-आख्यानम्
परिचर्या बने तां तु क्षुत्प्रतिघातकारिकाम् । अन्योन्येन निवेद्याथ प्रातिष्ठन्त सहैव ते,तदनन्तर वे एक दूसरेको अपना कुशल-समाचार बताते हुए बोले--“हमलोग अपनी भूख मिटानेके लिये इस वनमें भ्रमण कर रहे हैं" ऐसा कहकर वे साथ-ही-साथ वहाँसे चल पड़े
paricaryā vane tāṁ tu kṣutpratighātakārikām | anyonyena nivedyātha prātiṣṭhanta sahaiva te ||
Bhishma said: Having informed one another of their well-being, they then set out together, undertaking in that forest the necessary activity meant to ward off hunger—roaming the woods to obtain food.
भीष्म उवाच
Even in scarcity, one should uphold dharmic conduct—mutual courtesy (inquiring after welfare), cooperation, and disciplined effort to meet basic needs without abandoning ethical behavior.
After exchanging well-being and explaining that they are moving about the forest to obtain food and relieve hunger, the group departs together, engaging in the practical tasks needed for survival.
