प्रत्यक्षदर्शी सर्वस्य पित्रा पृष्टो महात्मना । सतां वार्ता पितुर्मध्ये महर्षीणां न्यवेदयत्‌,अपने महात्मा पिताके इस प्रकार पूछनेपर परलोककी सब बातोंको प्रत्यक्ष देखनेवाला नाचिकेत महर्षियोंके बीचमें पितासे वहाँका सब वृत्तान्त निवेदन करने लगा--

Translation

Bhishma said: Thus questioned by his great-souled father, Naciketas—who had directly beheld all matters of the other world—began, in the midst of the great rishis, to relate to his father the full account of what had occurred there—
