५१६ उपकार:--उपकार करनेवाले, ५१७ प्रिय:--भक्तोंके प्रेमास्पद, ५१८ सर्व:-- सर्वस्वरूप, ५१९ कनक:--सुवर्णस्वरूप, ५२० काञ्चनच्छवि:--काञ्चनके समान कमनीय कान्तिवाले, ५२१ नाभि:--समस्त भुवनका मध्यदेशरूप, ५२२ नन्दिकर:-- आनन्द देनेवाले, ५२३ भावः--श्रद्धा-भक्तिस्वरूप, ५२४ पुष्करस्थपति:--ब्रह्माण्डरूपी पुष्करका निर्माण करनेवाले, ५२५ स्थिर:--स्थिरस्वरूप ।। द्वादशस्त्रासनश्षाद्यो यज्ञो यज्ञसमाहित: । नक्तं कलिश्न कालश्न मकर: कालपूजित:,५२६ द्वादश:--ग्यारह रुद्रोंसे श्रेष्ठ बारहवें रुद्र, ५२७ त्रासन:--संहारकारी होनेके कारण भयजनक, ५२८ आद्यः--सबके आदि कारण, ५२९ यज्ञ:--यज्ञपुरुष, ५३० यज्ञसमाहित:--यज्ञमें उपस्थित रहनेवाले, ५३१ नक्तम्--प्रलयकालकी रात्रिस्वरूप, ५३२ कलि:--कलिके स्वरूप, ५३३ काल:--सबको अपना ग्रास बनानेवाले कालरूप, ५३४ मकर:--मकराकार शिशुमार चक्र, ५३५ कालपूजितः--काल अर्थात् मृत्युके द्वारा पूजित
upakāraḥ priyaḥ sarvaḥ kanakaḥ kāñcanacchaviḥ | nābhiḥ nandikaraḥ bhāvaḥ puṣkarasthapatiḥ sthiraḥ || dvādaśas trāsanaś cādyo yajño yajñasamāhitaḥ | naktaṃ kaliś ca kālaś ca makaraḥ kālapūjitaḥ ||
Vāyu said: He is Beneficence itself, dear to his devotees, the All in all, golden in essence and radiant with a lovely golden splendor. He is the Navel—the central ground of all worlds—bestower of joy, the very form of faith and devotion, the architect who fashions the lotus-like cosmos, and the unshakable One. He is the Twelfth (the supreme among the Rudras), the Terrifier who brings dissolution, the First Cause, the Yajña-Puruṣa who abides within sacrifice. He is the Night of cosmic dissolution, the spirit of Kali, Time that devours all, the Makara (the cosmic sea-creature/whirlpool-form), and the One whom Time—i.e., Death—reveres.
