असुराणां पुराण्यासंस्त्रीणि वीर्यवर्तां दिवि । आयसं राजतं चैव सौवर्णमपि चापरम्,पूर्वकालमें बलवान् असुरोंके तीन पुर (विमान) थे; जो आकाशमें विचरते रहते थे। उनमेंसे एक लोहेका, दूसरा चाँदीका और तीसरा सोनेका बना हुआ था
asurāṇāṃ purāṇy āsan trīṇi vīryavatāṃ divi | āyasaṃ rājataṃ caiva sauvarṇam api cāparam ||
Vāyu said: “In ancient times the mighty Asuras possessed three fortified aerial cities that moved through the sky. One was made of iron, another of silver, and the third of gold.”
