Yayāti–Indra Dialogue and Aṣṭaka’s Inquiry
ततः काले तु कम्मिंश्चिद् देवयानी शुचिस्मिता । ययातिसहिता राजञ्जगाम रहित॑ वनम्,राजन्! तदनन्तर किसी समय पवित्र मुसकानवाली देवयानी ययातिके साथ एकान्त वनमें गयी
tataḥ kāle tu kammiṁścid devayānī śucismitā | yayātisahitā rājan jagāma rahitaṁ vanam ||
Vaiśampāyana said: Then, at a certain time, Devayānī—whose smile was pure and gentle—went with King Yayāti into a secluded forest.
