पितरं सखिभि: सो5थ श्रावयामास भार्गवम्‌ | प्रमतिश्चा भ्ययाचत्‌ तां स्थूलकेशं यशस्विनम्‌,तब उन्होंने मित्रोंद्वारा अपने पिता भृगुवंशी प्रमतिको अपनी अवस्था कहलायी। तदनन्तर प्रमतिने यशस्वी स्थूलकेश मुनिसे (अपने पुत्रके लिये) उनकी वह कन्या माँगी

pitaraṃ sakhībhiḥ so ’tha śrāvayāmāsa bhārgavam | pramatiś cābhyayācat tāṃ sthūlakeśaṃ yaśasvinam ||

Then, through his friends, he had his father—Pramati of the Bhṛgu lineage—hear of his condition. Thereafter Pramati approached the illustrious sage Sthūlakeśa and requested his daughter for his son.
