ययाति–देवयानी संवादः
Yayāti–Devayānī Dialogue and Śukra’s Consent
शुक्र उवाच कच सुस्वागतं तेअस्तु प्रतिगृह्लामि ते वच: । अर्चयिष्ये5हमर्च्य त्वामर्चितो<स्तु बृहस्पति:,शुक्राचार्यने कहा--कच! तुम्हारा भलीभाँति स्वागत है; मैं तुम्हारी प्रार्थना स्वीकार करता हूँ। तुम मेरे लिये आदरके पात्र हो, अतः मैं तुम्हारा सम्मान एवं सत्कार करूँगा। तुम्हारे आदर-सत्कारसे मेरे द्वारा बृहस्पतिका आदर-सत्कार होगा
śukra uvāca | kaca susvāgataṁ te 'stu pratigṛhṇāmi te vacaḥ | arcayiṣye 'ham arghya tvām arcito 'stu bṛhaspatiḥ ||
Śukra said: “Kaca, welcome. I accept your request. You are worthy of honor to me; therefore I shall show you reverence and hospitality. By honoring you, I will in effect be honoring Bṛhaspati as well.”
