Duḥṣantasya Vana-praveśaḥ

King Duḥṣanta’s Entry into the Forest Hunt

इन्द्रप्रीत्या चेदिपतिश्नकारेन्द्रमहं वसु: । पुत्राश्नास्य महावीर्या: पज्चासन्नमितौजस:,इन्द्रकी प्रसन्नताके लिये चेदिराज वसु प्रतिवर्ष इन्द्रोत्तव मनाया करते थे। उनके अनन्त बलशाली महापराक्रमी पाँच पुत्र थे

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

indraprītyā cedipatir nakāre indramahaṃ vasuḥ |

putrāś cāsya mahāvīryāḥ pañcāsann amitaujasaḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana said: To please Indra, Vasu, the king of Cedi, used to celebrate the Indra-festival every year at Nakāra. He had five sons, all great heroes and of immeasurable strength.
