Even when a ritual is fueled by anger, dharma requires honoring truthful guidance and rewarding those who serve the larger order; rightful patronage and receptivity to counsel help restrain destructive impulses.
Śaunaka reports that the powerful king (Janamejaya) rewarded Lohitākṣa the sūta and the sthapati because one of them had earlier predicted that a brāhmaṇa would become the cause for stopping the snake-sacrifice.
