Garuḍa–Śakra Saṃvāda and the Retrieval of Amṛta

tatas teṣv apayāteṣu pitaraṃ vinatāsutaḥ | śākhāvyākṣiptavadanaḥ paryapṛcchat kaśyapam ||

When they had departed, Garuḍa, Vinatā’s son—his mouth impeded because it was occupied by a tree-branch—questioned his father Kaśyapa.

Educational Q&A

Even under constraint or urgency, one should seek proper guidance—especially from elders and teachers—rather than acting impulsively; restraint and consultation support dharma.

After others leave, Garuḍa, with his mouth occupied by a branch and thus hindered in speech, turns to his father Kaśyapa and asks him a question, setting up further instruction or clarification.
