विजेता नाभवत् वकच्ित् कृष्णपाण्डवयोर्मुथे । वहाँ सब ओरसे सम्पूर्ण दानव एकत्र हो गये थे, तथापि उनमेंसे एक भी ऐसा नहीं निकला, जो युद्धमें श्रीकृष्ण और अर्जुनको जीत सके
Vijeto nābhavat kaścit kṛṣṇa-pāṇḍavayor yudhe | tatra sarvataḥ samantād dānavāḥ samāgatāḥ santi, tathāpi teṣāṃ madhye naikaḥ api tādṛśo 'bhavat yo yuddhe śrīkṛṣṇam arjunaṃ ca jetuṃ śaknoti |
Vaiśaṃpāyana said: In the battle against Kṛṣṇa and the Pāṇḍava, no one at all emerged as a victor. Though the Dānavas had gathered there from every side in full force, not a single one among them proved capable of defeating Śrī Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna in combat.
