Śārṅgakānāṃ Avināśaḥ (Why the Śārṅga Birds Were Spared) | शार्ङ्गकानामविनाशः

कृत्वा च वेदाध्ययनं ततः सुचरितव्रता: । जगृहु: सर्वमिष्वस्त्रमर्जुनाद दिव्यमानुषम्‌,पूर्णरूपसे ब्रह्मचर्य व्रबरका पालन करनेवाले उन बालकोंने धौम्य मुनिसे वेदाध्ययन करनेके पश्चात्‌ अर्जुनसे सम्पूर्ण दिव्य एवं मानुष थनुर्वेदका ज्ञान प्राप्त किया

kṛtvā ca vedādhyayanaṃ tataḥ sucarita-vratāḥ | jagṛhuḥ sarvam iṣv-astram arjunād divya-mānuṣam ||

Vaiśampāyana said: After completing their study of the Vedas, those youths—steadfast in well-kept vows and disciplined conduct—received from Arjuna the entire science of archery, embracing both divine and human weapons. It shows that martial mastery rests upon learning, self-restraint, and righteous observance.
