Śārṅgakānāṃ Avināśaḥ (Why the Śārṅga Birds Were Spared) | शार्ङ्गकानामविनाशः
विहृत्य च यथाकामं पूजितो वृष्णिनन्दनै: । पुष्करे तु ततः शेषं काल वर्तितवान् प्रभु:,द्वारकामें इच्छानुसार विहार करके वृष्णिवंशियोंद्वारा पूजित होकर अर्जुन वहाँसे पुष्करतीर्थमें चले गये और वनवासका शेष समय वहीं व्यतीत किया
vaiśampāyana uvāca | vihṛtya ca yathākāmaṃ pūjito vṛṣṇinandanair | puṣkare tu tataḥ śeṣaṃ kālaṃ vartitavān prabhuḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana said: Having enjoyed himself as he wished, and having been honoured by the descendants of Vṛṣṇi, the noble one then went to Puṣkara and spent there the remainder of his allotted time (of exile).
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even while undergoing a difficult vow or penalty, one should uphold discipline and complete the remaining term properly; honour received from others should not distract one from fulfilling one’s dharma and commitments.
Arjuna, after staying in Dvārakā and being respectfully received by the Vṛṣṇis, departs to the sacred tīrtha of Puṣkara and spends the remaining period of his exile there.
