Vaiśampāyana said: Having returned there, the mighty Arjuna solemnized a marriage. The son of Kuntī then stayed in that place for nights amounting to a year and a little more—signaling a settled, socially sanctioned union and a period of domestic stability after his return.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores dharma in the form of socially recognized marriage (vivāha) and the stabilizing responsibility of household life, even for a heroic warrior—showing that personal conduct and lawful bonds support wider social order.
Vaiśampāyana reports that Arjuna returned to that place, performed a marriage, and then lived there for about a year (and a little more), indicating a sustained period of residence after the wedding.
