Ādi Parva, Adhyāya 193 — Hastināpura Mantra: Duryodhana’s Proposals to Divide the Pāṇḍavas
vaiśampāyana uvāca tataḥ prayātāḥ kurupuṇḍravās te purohitaṃ taṃ pariyāpya sarve | āsthāya yānāni mahānti tāni kuntī ca kṛṣṇā ca sahaikayāne ||
Vaiśampāyana said: Then those foremost Kurus—the Pāṇḍavas—having respectfully taken leave of the family priest, all set out. Mounting their great conveyances, they proceeded onward; and at that time Kuntī and Kṛṣṇā (Draupadī) rode together in a single vehicle.
Even in moments of movement and political urgency, dharmic order is maintained: the heroes first honor and formally take leave of the purohita, reflecting reverence for sacred counsel and disciplined social conduct.
The Pāṇḍavas depart after bidding farewell to their priest, mount their large conveyances, and proceed toward their destination; Kuntī and Draupadī are specifically noted as traveling together in a single vehicle.
