Educational Q&A

The line highlights a counsel toward swift action aligned with one’s chosen intent, contrasting decisive execution with hesitation. Ethically, it raises the question of whether speed should override careful moral deliberation—an issue repeatedly tested in Mahabharata narratives.

A Gandharva addresses someone directly, urging them to act immediately as they wish and not to deliberate. The verse functions as a brief, forceful prompt that accelerates the unfolding action in the surrounding episode.
