Cause of Kalmāṣapāda’s Niyoga under a Curse
ततस्तत् तादृशं दृष्टवा स एव भगवानृषि: । अभ्यवर्षत धर्मात्मा वसिष्ठो मुनिसत्तम:,प्रजाकी ऐसी दुरवस्था देख धर्मात्मा मुनिश्रेष्ठ भगवान् वसिष्ठने ही (अपने तपोबलसे) उस राज्यमें वर्षा की
tatas tat tādṛśaṃ dṛṣṭvā sa eva bhagavān ṛṣiḥ | abhyavarṣata dharmātmā vasiṣṭho munisattamaḥ ||
Seeing the people fallen into such distress, that very blessed seer—Vasiṣṭha, the righteous-souled and foremost of sages—caused rain to fall upon the kingdom by the power of his austerities.
