कल्माषपाद-शाप-कारणम्

Cause of Kalmāṣapāda’s Niyoga under a Curse

ततः सर्वानिवद्याज़ीं तपतीं तपन: स्वयम्‌ । ददौ संवरणस्यार्थ वसिष्ठाय महात्मने,तदनन्तर साक्षात्‌ भगवान्‌ सूर्यने अनिन्द्यसुन्दरी तपतीको राजा संवरणकी पत्नी होनेके लिये महात्मा वसिष्ठको अर्पित कर दिया

tataḥ sarvānivadyāṃ ca tapantīṃ tapanaḥ svayam | dadau saṃvaraṇasyārthe vasiṣṭhāya mahātmane ||

Then Tapana (the Sun-god) himself, presenting the wholly blameless and radiant Tapatī, entrusted her to the great-souled Vasiṣṭha so that she might become the wife of King Saṃvaraṇa.
