Hiḍimba’s Approach and Hiḍimbā’s Warning to Bhīmasena (हिडिम्बागमनम् / हिडिम्बा-भयवचनम्)

शृणु राजन्निदं तत्र प्रोच्यमानं मयानघ । न मे5 भ्यसूया कर्तव्या श्र॒ुत्वैतत्‌ कुरुसत्तम,“निष्पाप नरेश! इस विषयमें मेरी कही हुई ये बातें सुनिये। कुरुवंशशिरोमणे! इसे सुनकर आप मेरे प्रति दोष-दृष्टि न कीजियेगा

śṛṇu rājann idaṃ tatra procyamānaṃ mayānagha | na me 'bhyasūyā kartavyā śrutvaitat kurusattama ||

Vaiśampāyana said: “O King, O sinless one, listen to what I am about to relate in this matter. O best of the Kurus, having heard it, you should not look upon me with fault-finding or suspicion.”
