Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the ethical weight of decision-making in a royal context: when elders and renowned counselors assemble, it implies that actions should be guided by dharma, prudence, and collective wisdom rather than haste or personal bias.

A group of prominent Kuru figures—Bhīṣma, Somadatta, Bāhlīka, Dhṛtarāṣṭra, Sañjaya, and Vidura—arrive together, indicating a formal gathering/assembly where significant matters of the kingdom and family are to be discussed.
