Kurukṣetra Pilgrimage: Sages Praise Kṛṣṇa; Vasudeva Inquires on Karma; Viṣṇu-yajña Performed

श्रीशुक उवाच निशम्येत्थं भगवत: कृष्णस्याकुण्ठमेधस: । वचो दुरन्वयं विप्रास्तूष्णीमासन् भ्रमद्धिय: ॥ १४ ॥

śrī-śuka uvāca niśamyetthaṁ bhagavataḥ kṛṣṇasyākuṇtha-medhasaḥ vaco duranvayaṁ viprās tūṣṇīm āsan bhramad-dhiyaḥ

Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: Hearing such profound, hard-to-fathom words from Lord Kṛṣṇa, whose wisdom is unlimited, the learned brāhmaṇas fell silent, their minds bewildered.

Because Kṛṣṇa’s statement appeared difficult to reconcile (duranvaya), and the brāhmaṇas—though learned—felt momentarily bewildered and therefore remained silent.

It describes Kṛṣṇa as possessing unobstructed, unfailing intelligence—His understanding and intent are perfect, even when His words seem complex to ordinary reasoning.

When spiritual teachings seem confusing, a devotee should respond with humility, patience, and sincere inquiry—trusting the Lord’s perfect wisdom rather than insisting on immediate intellectual closure.
