Brahma-vimohana-līlā
शृणुष्वावहितो राजन्नपि गुह्यं वदामि ते । ब्रूयु: स्निग्धस्य शिष्यस्य गुरवो गुह्यमप्युत ॥ ३ ॥
śṛṇuṣvāvahito rājann api guhyaṁ vadāmi te brūyuḥ snigdhasya śiṣyasya guravo guhyam apy uta
O King, listen with full attention; I shall speak to you this confidential matter. For spiritual masters explain even hidden and difficult truths to a loving, submissive disciple.
This verse says that confidential truths are shared by realized teachers when the listener is attentive and is an affectionate, faithful disciple.
Śukadeva prepares Parīkṣit to hear a deeper, more confidential dimension of Kṛṣṇa’s līlā, emphasizing that such topics are properly received through focused, faithful hearing.
