Pṛthu Mahārāja Meets the Four Kumāras: Bhakti as the Boat Across Saṁsāra

The gathering of devotees is indeed cherished by both—the speaker and the hearer—for in such dialogue, questions and answers spread peace and true happiness for all.
Hearing discussions among the devotees is the only means to receive the powerful message of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. For instance, Bhagavad-gītā has been well known all over the world for a very long time, especially in the Western world, but because the subject matter was not discussed by devotees, there was no effect. Not a single person in the West became Kṛṣṇa conscious before the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement was founded. But when the same Bhagavad-gītā was presented as it is through the disciplic succession, the effect of spiritual realization was immediately manifested.
This verse says that meeting saintly persons benefits everyone involved, because sincere discussion and inquiry spread peace and spiritual welfare.
Because spiritual understanding grows through humble dialogue—hearing from saints and asking honest questions—which naturally brings inner calm and clarity to all.
Seek regular association with genuine practitioners (satsanga), listen attentively, ask sincere questions, and let that guidance shape daily choices—this cultivates steadiness and peace.
