तेभ्यो दधार कन्ये द्वे वयुनां धारिणीं स्वधा । उभे ते ब्रह्मवादिन्यौ ज्ञानविज्ञानपारगे ॥ ६४ ॥
tebhyo dadhāra kanye dve vayunāṁ dhāriṇīṁ svadhā ubhe te brahma-vādinyau jñāna-vijñāna-pārage
Svadhā, offered unto the Pitṛs, bore two daughters named Vayunā and Dhāriṇī. Both were brahmavādinīs, fully versed in Vedic knowledge and realized transcendental wisdom.
They are two daughters born to Svadhā, described here as brahmavādinīs—women devoted to and proficient in Vedic truth—endowed with both jñāna (scriptural knowledge) and vijñāna (realized understanding).
In this verse, brahmavādinī indicates one who speaks and teaches Brahman—Vedic spiritual truth—signifying deep scriptural learning and a life aligned with spiritual realization.
Study (jñāna) should mature into lived practice (vijñāna): apply spiritual teachings through disciplined conduct, devotion, and daily decisions that reflect inner realization rather than theory alone.
