The Future Manus and the Avatāras in Their Manvantaras
देवा: सुकर्मसुत्रामसंज्ञा इन्द्रो दिवस्पति: । निर्मोकतत्त्वदर्शाद्या भविष्यन्त्यृषयस्तदा ॥ ३१ ॥
devāḥ sukarma-sutrāma- saṁjñā indro divaspatiḥ nirmoka-tattvadarśādyā bhaviṣyanty ṛṣayas tadā
In the thirteenth manvantara, the demigods will include the Sukarmās and Sutrāmas; Indra, king of heaven, will be Divaspati. Among the sages will be Nirmoka and Tattvadarśa, and others.
Divaspati is the name of Indra (the king of heaven) for that particular Manvantara described in Bhagavatam 8.13.31.
This verse shows that the post of Indra changes by Manvantara—Indra may bear different names and serve under different cosmic arrangements.
It reinforces that worldly positions are temporary, while devotion to the Supreme Lord is the lasting shelter beyond changing cosmic administrations.
