Whereby the green-tawny steeds convey the Ādityas; whereby, by sacrifice, many—knowing—attain their course; that one Light which shineth forth in manifold wise—of that God. This is the offence against the wrathful One: whoso thus a knowing Brahman wrongs. Up, make him tremble, O Rohita; waste him away: upon the Brahman-hurter loose back the nooses.
Rishi: As in the Rohita/Āditya cycle of AV 13.3 (anukramaṇī-dependent).
Devata: Rohita / Āditya-light (solar divinity)
Chandas: Mixed; refrain-driven Atharvanic style (often classed with Triṣṭubh-like lines).
