árbudir nā́ma yó devá ī́śānaś ca ny-àrbudíḥ | yā́bhyām antárikṣam ā́vṛtam iyáṃ ca pṛthivī́ mahī́ | tā́bhyām índra-medhibhyām aháṃ jitám anvémi sénayā
Arbudi by name is that God, and Nyarbudi, the Lordly twain, by whom the mid-air is encompassed, and this great Earth. With those two, Indra-skilled, I follow after the victory won, together with my host.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (hymn attributed in the Anukramaṇī to an Atharvan/Āṅgirasa seer for senā-karman contexts).
Devata: Arbudi and Nyarbudi (paired martial/protective powers); secondarily Indra as the paradigm of victory.
Chandas: Triṣṭubh-like cadence (Atharvanic mixed meter; often treated as irregular triṣṭubh in this section).
