१॥ विष्णोः क्रमोऽसि सपत्नहान्तरिक्षसंशितो वायुतेजाः । अन्तरिक्षमनु वि क्रमेऽहमन्तरिक्षात् तं निर्भजामो यो३स्मान् द्वेष्टि यं वयं द्विष्मः । स मा जीवीत् तं प्राणो जहातु
víṣṇoḥ krámo ’si sapatnahā́ntarīkṣasaṁśitó vāyutéjāḥ | antárīkṣam ánu ví krame ’háṁ antárīkṣāt táṁ nirbhajāmo yó ’smā́n dvéṣṭi yáṁ vayáṁ dvíṣmaḥ | sá mā́ jīvit táṁ prāṇó jahātu ||
Thou art Viṣṇu’s Stride, the rival-slayer, whetted in mid-air, of Vāyu’s force. Along the atmosphere I stride forth: from the midspace we sunder him—who hateth us, whom we do hate. Let him not live: let breath abandon him.
