yó va ā́po ’pā́ṃ bhāgó ’psv antár yajúṣyo ’devayájanaḥ | idáṃ tám áti sṛjāmi tám mā́bhyàvanikṣi | téna tám abhyàti sṛjāmaḥ yó ’smā́n dvéṣṭi yáṃ vayáṃ dviṣmáḥ | táṃ vadhéyam táṃ stṛṣīyā́nena bráhmaṇā́nena kármaṇā́nayā menyā́
Whoso, O Waters, is a portion of the Waters—within the waters, a yajus-skilled man, yet a sacrificer not for the gods—him do I drive forth beyond; let him not wash back upon me. With that same force we hurl him against him who hateth us, whom we ourselves do hate: him would I smite, him would I crush, with this spell, with this operation, with this wrath.
Rishi: Atharvanic/Angiras-type (abhicāra strata; Anukramaṇī varies)
Devata: Āpas (as field/medium); the operative powers are Brahman and Menyā (wrath) as quasi-deities
Chandas: Predominantly prose-like Atharvanic cadence with embedded metrical cola
{"primary_rasa":"raudra","secondary_rasa":"bhayankara","emotional_arc":"Detection of hidden threat → forceful expulsion → aggressive redirection and crushing intent.","listener_experience":"A surge of protective anger and decisive severing; heightened vigilance.","intensity":8}
