फलातिमुक्तो भूमिभ्यः संधिः स परिदूषणः ॥ कZ_०७.३.३४च्द् ॥
phalātimukto bhūmibhyaḥ saṃdhiḥ sa paridūṣaṇaḥ
A treaty that frees (the other side) from paying produce/revenue from the lands is a corrupting, ruinous settlement.
Because it undermines the durable fiscal base; even if land is retained or restored, exempting its yield weakens the treasury and future security.
If concessions are necessary, cap them and preserve long-term revenue claims; avoid open-ended exemptions that outlast the crisis.
