Varaha Purana 57.7 — Adhyaya 57, Shloka 7

The Observance for Attaining Radiance: The Soma Kānti-Vrata

अनेनैव च मार्गेण दत्त्वार्घ्यं परमेष्ठिनः । रात्रौ सविप्रो भुञ्जीत यवान्नं सघृतं नरः ॥ ५७.७ ॥

anenaiva ca mārgeṇa dattvārghyaṃ parameṣṭhinaḥ | rātrau savipro bhuñjīta yavānnaṃ saghṛtaṃ naraḥ || 57.7 ||

Nach demselben Verfahren, nachdem man Parameṣṭhin die Arghya-Darbringung dargebracht hat, soll ein Mann—zusammen mit einem Brāhmaṇa—nachts Gerstenkost (yava) mit Ghee zu sich nehmen.
