एतत्ते व्रतमादिष्टं मया व्याधवर ध्रुवम् । तत्रैवं तपसा युक्तस्तिष्ठ त्वं यावदिच्छसि ॥ ३७.४३ ॥

etat te vratam ādiṣṭaṃ mayā vyādhavara dhruvam | tatraivaṃ tapasā yuktas tiṣṭha tvaṃ yāvad icchasi || 37.43 ||

O Bester unter den Jägern, dieses heilige Gelübde (vrata) habe ich dir fest auferlegt. Darum verweile dort, in Zucht und mit asketischer Kraft (tapas) versehen, und bleibe so lange, wie du es wünschst.
