श्रीवराह उवाच । भावसाध्योऽस्म्यहं देवि न वित्तैर्न जपैरहम् । साध्यस्तथापि भक्तानां कायक्लेशं वदामि ते ॥ ३७.२ ॥

śrīvarāha uvāca | bhāvasādhyo 'smy ahaṃ devi na vittair na japair aham | sādhyas tathā 'pi bhaktānāṃ kāyakleśaṃ vadāmi te || 37.2 ||

Śrī Varāha sprach: „O Göttin, Ich bin durch innere Gesinnung (bhāva) erreichbar, nicht durch Reichtum und nicht durch gemurmelte Wiederholung (japa). Dennoch bin Ich für die Hingebungsvollen wahrhaft erreichbar; darum werde Ich dir von der körperlichen Mühsal (kāya-kleśa), den Askesen mit leiblicher Anstrengung, berichten.“
