ahiṃsayā paraṃ rūpaṃ dīkṣayā kulajanma ca || phalamūlāśino rājyaṃ svargaḥ parṇāśināṃ bhavet
Durch Gewaltlosigkeit (ahiṃsā) erlangt man eine erhabene Gestalt; durch die Weihe-Disziplin (dīkṣā) eine edle Geburt in guter Linie. Für jene, die von Früchten und Wurzeln leben, heißt es, sei die Frucht die Herrschaft; für jene, die von Blättern leben, wäre die Frucht der Himmel.
