पश्चाद्धूपं च दीपं च दद्याद्वै मन्त्रपूर्वकम् ॥ याति येन विजानीयात्पृथक्प्रेतेन योजयेत् ॥
paścād dhūpaṃ ca dīpaṃ ca dadyād vai mantra-pūrvakam || yāti yena vijānīyāt pṛthak pretena yojayet ||
Danach soll man wahrlich Räucherwerk und eine Lampe darbringen, zuvor von Mantras begleitet. Man soll den Weg erkennen, auf dem (der Preta) geht, und (die Gaben) jeweils getrennt jedem Preta zuordnen.
