Installation of a Stone Image

Ritual Procedure for Consecration

ततो वै स्थापयेत् तत्र पूर्वाभिमुखमेव तु ॥ अहोरात्रमुषित्वैवं शुक्लवस्त्रेण भूषितः ॥

tato vai sthāpayet tatra pūrvābhimukham eva tu || ahorātram uṣitvā evaṃ śukla-vastreṇa bhūṣitaḥ ||

Dann soll man es dort aufstellen, nach Osten ausgerichtet. Nachdem man so einen Tag und eine Nacht verweilt hat, in weiße Gewänder gekleidet, setzt sich das Ritual fort.
