Praise of the Sacred Geography of Mathurā

सर्वसङ्गं परित्यज्य सोऽगच्छन्मथुरां तदा॥ ब्राह्मणावसथे सोऽपि वसमानो वसुन्धरे॥

sarvasaṅgaṁ parityajya so' gacchan mathurāṁ tadā || brāhmaṇāvasathe so'pi vasamāno vasundhare ||

Nachdem er alle Bindungen aufgegeben hatte, ging er damals nach Mathurā. O Erde, auch er wohnte dort und hielt sich in einer Herberge auf, die den Brāhmaṇas zugeordnet war.
