प्राणायामैर्दहेद्दोषान्धारणाभिश्च किल्बिषम् । प्रत्याहारेण संसर्गाद्ध्यानेनानीश्वरान्गुणान् ॥८॥
प्राणायामैः । दहेत् । दोषान् । धारणाभिः । च । किल्बिषम् । प्रत्याहारेण । संसर्गात् । ध्यानेन । अनीश्वरान् । गुणान् ॥८॥
prāṇāyāmair dahed doṣān dhāraṇābhiś ca kilbiṣam | pratyāhāreṇa saṃsargād dhyānenānīśvarān guṇān ||8||
Durch prāṇāyāma soll man die Fehler verbrennen; und durch dhāraṇā die Sünde/Unreinheit (kilbiṣa). Durch pratyāhāra wird man vom Kontakt und der Verstrickung (saṃsarga) frei, und durch dhyāna überwindet man die nicht-souveränen Qualitäten (anīśvarān guṇān).
By breath-restraints one should burn faults; and by concentrations, sin (kilbiṣa). By withdrawal (one is freed) from contact (saṃsarga), and by meditation (one overcomes) non-sovereign qualities (anīśvarān guṇān).
