यथा पर्वतधातूनां दह्यन्ते धमनान्मलाः । तथेन्द्रियकृता दोषा दह्यन्ते प्राणनिग्रहात् ॥७॥

Padapatha (Word Split)

यथा । पर्वत-धातूनाम् । दह्यन्ते । धमनात् । मलाः । तथा । इन्द्रिय-कृताः । दोषाः । दह्यन्ते । प्राण-निग्रहात् ॥७॥

IAST Transliteration

yathā parvatadhātūnāṃ dahyante dhamanān malāḥ | tathendriyakṛtā doṣā dahyante prāṇanigrahāt ||7||

Translation

Wie bei den Erzen der Berge die Unreinheiten durch das Anblasen (im Schmelzofen) verbrannt werden, so werden die durch die Sinne hervorgebrachten Fehler durch Zügelung des Atems verbrannt.

Academic Translation

Just as, for the minerals (ores) of mountains, impurities are burned away by blowing (in the furnace), so the faults produced by the senses are burned away by restraint of the breath.
