Skanda Purana — Vishnu Khanda, Shloka 51

यथा धर्ममवाप्नोति अन्यत्र न तथा क्वचित् । दानं व्रतं तथा होमः सर्वमक्षयतां व्रजेत

yathā dharmamavāpnoti anyatra na tathā kvacit | dānaṃ vrataṃ tathā homaḥ sarvamakṣayatāṃ vrajeta

Wie man hier Dharma erlangt, so wird er sonst nirgends erlangt. Gabe, Gelübde und Homa—alles, was hier vollbracht wird, wird zu unvergänglichem (akṣaya) Verdienst.
