तत्र गत्वाथ च स्नात्वा ध्यानमास्थाय सत्वरम् । चिदात्मनि मनः शान्तं संगम्यावस्थितस्तदा
tatra gatvātha ca snātvā dhyānamāsthāya satvaram | cidātmani manaḥ śāntaṃ saṃgamyāvasthitastadā
Dorthin gelangt, badete er und trat sogleich in Meditation ein. Mit beruhigtem Geist, vereint mit dem bewussten Selbst, blieb er dort fest gegründet.

Scene: Lakṣmaṇa completes a calm river bath, then sits on the ghat in steady posture, eyes half-closed, mind absorbed; the Sarayū flows quietly beside him.
Tīrtha-bathing followed by inward meditation culminates in steadiness of mind and alignment with the highest Self.
Sarayū at Ayodhyā—its bank is portrayed as conducive to purification (snāna) and contemplation (dhyāna).
Snāna (bathing) at the sacred place, followed by dhyāna (meditation).
