Agastya
Listener: (addressed) vipra/brāhmaṇa interlocutor within Ayodhyāmāhātmya frame
Scene: On the Sarayū bank, Lomāśa finishes praising the tīrtha’s virtues; as Agastya listens, the sage becomes subtle and vanishes, leaving a luminous afterglow over the river.
Sacred knowledge is transmitted through realized sages; praising and remembering a tirtha’s virtues is itself a devotional act.
The immediately preceding discourse concerns Ṛṇamocana Tīrtha in Ayodhyā.
No new rite here; it closes the instruction by marking the completion of Lomaśa’s teaching.
