हतः क्रौंचो मृतो राज न्नष्टा स्थानादहं ततः । गोदावरीवने तस्मिन्नेवंरूपं ददर्श तम्
hataḥ krauṃco mṛto rāja nnaṣṭā sthānādahaṃ tataḥ | godāvarīvane tasminnevaṃrūpaṃ dadarśa tam
Der Krauñca wurde getroffen und starb, o König, und dann verschwand ich von jenem Ort. In eben diesem Godāvarī-Wald sah er ihn in solcher Gestalt.
