संपूज्य विविधैः पुष्पैर्माघमासे चतुर्दशी । तस्यां जागरणं कृत्वा सञ्जातो निर्मलो हरिः

saṃpūjya vividhaiḥ puṣpairmāghamāse caturdaśī | tasyāṃ jāgaraṇaṃ kṛtvā sañjāto nirmalo hariḥ

Nachdem man am vierzehnten Tag des Monats Māgha mit vielerlei Blumen verehrt und in jener Nacht die Vigil gehalten hatte, wurde Hari rein und makellos.
