Sūta (Lomaharṣaṇa) narrating to the sages (deduced)
Tirtha: Vastrāpatha-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Scene: A home filled with auspicious signs after vṛddhi-śrāddha: lamps lit, flowers, brāhmaṇas blessed, subtle presence of satisfied pitṛs above, devas bestowing boons; family gathered in peace.
Harmony in the home is secured by simultaneously honoring gods and ancestors through prescribed śrāddha.
No site is specified; the verse emphasizes the domestic (gṛhastha) merit of vṛddhi-śrāddha.
The performance of vṛddhi-śrāddha is recommended as a generator of sarva-maṅgala (universal auspiciousness) in the household.
