तस्याद्भुतं तपो दृष्ट्वा तुष्टोऽहं तस्य सुन्दरि । वरं वृणीष्वेति मया स च प्रोक्तो निशाकरः
tasyādbhutaṃ tapo dṛṣṭvā tuṣṭo'haṃ tasya sundari | varaṃ vṛṇīṣveti mayā sa ca prokto niśākaraḥ
Als ich seine wunderbare Askese sah, o Schöne, war ich ihm wohlgesinnt. „Wähle eine Gabe“, sprach ich; und so redete ich Niśākara (den Mond) an.
